"Me Time" Matters

Hello beautiful people๐Ÿ˜...

First and foremost, thank you to each one who takes time and energy to read my little words. Some of your comments feel like warm hugs, and that means the world to me. In a world that cheers louder for vlogs than blogs, you give me the freedom and courage to keep writing❤️.

Ever since I restarted my blogging, I have been choosing topics that come straight from my heart. I have always felt this deep urge to express what I think, feel, create.

Today I had planned to write a short story (I have the idea tucked safely in my head - just waiting for the right words to find me). But something else bubbled up- something honest and personal.
A thought that came randomly, but felt important: Me Time.

There are days I feel like a background character in my own life. From packing lunch at dawn to winding up chores at dusk, life keeps happening around me. Somewhere in between, I began to wonder - where am I in all this?
That's when the idea of Me Time started whispering to me.

๐ŸŒฑWHAT IS EVEN ME TIME?

It's not a luxury. It's not selfish. It's not even always quiet.

It can be ;

  • 10 minutes of stretching
  • A peaceful sip of tea (without checking your phone)
  • Write / Do something that isn't  work related.
  • Staring at the ceiling and just... breathing
It's that tiny act where I say, This moment is mine.

๐Ÿ‘€THE GUILT I FELT

When I first decided to take some time for myself, I felt... guilty.

There was work waiting. People needing me. Tasks screaming for attention. And worst of all - there were voices (some in my head, some around me) saying:

"Why are you wasting time? What's the point of this?''

But I have learned something powerful;

A person who doesn't spend time with themselves starts to forget who they are.

๐Ÿ’ฎ HOW I TOOK IT BACK

  No dramatic changes. Just gentle rebellions.

  • I stopped scrolling during tea breaks. I stared at trees/lakes instead.
  • I wrote a paragraph each night - not for work, just for me.
  • I developed a habit of self prayer/ meditation
  • I created a little playlist of songs that feel like sunlight.
  • Bought something for me (books, pen, clothes, or even a fancy thing) see what I bought for myself
Slowly, I started becoming more me, The fog in my head lifted a little. I started writing again. Feeling seen - even by myself.

 ๐Ÿ“จMY MESSAGE TO YOU

If you are reading this, maybe you are like me. Caught in the whirlwind of giving, managing, adjusting, and forgetting.

You deserve five minutes today that belong only to you.

No guilt. No pressure. No perfect routine.

Just you, showing up for yourself.

As I wrap up the little piece of my heart, I realise that Me Time isn't about doing something- it's about being someone. In the quiet pauses, away from noise and roles, I started noticing the woman I often ignored. her thoughts, her pace, her dreams. She was always there - waiting for me to come to her.
And so, by my own definition,

Me Time is how I meet the woman I am becoming.

What does Me Time like for you?  - Tell me in comments
